April Challenge Winners

The members who attended the April 10th meeting voted for their favorite breakaway box.

Last fall,  boxes were distributed to the membership to make a breakaway box of their choice. Although the box distributed was suited for 1/2 inch display, members were encouraged to use any box of their choice. It could be 1 inch scale, 1/2 scale or 1/4 inch scale .

Gloria brought in a sample box that she had created. Instructions were given on how to cut the box and what materials to use. Members were challenged to complete their breakaway box project by the April , 2019 meeting.  The membership present would vote for their favorite box.

At the April meeting , only four members completed the challenge.

Voted Favorite Breakaway Box - Dr. Marie Albano

Dr. Marie Albano's breakaway box was voted favorite among the members present.  As winner she received several small miniatures. Her box was inspired by her love of all things related to sewing. She included a number of vintage wood spools and sewing accessories that she used to decorate the inside and outside of the box.  She also include minaiture teddy bears from her collection.
